Florida is a special state in the form of highpointing, it's the lowest state in america, and thus quite an anti-climax if one wishes to visit any type of "high" point. There are however some interesting points which I recently had the chance to visit.
The highest point in the southern "real Florida" is Characterized by practically no variations in elevation at all. In fact the point is something as unremarkable as an old sand dune at 86 ft in height (26 m), and even that is enough to stand out high above the swamplands and vegetation and offer some nice views of the inter-coastal and the Atlantic ocean.
Among the more interesting signs in the park which also covers parts of The Loxahatchee river is the one below. Personally I feel that one really should not need to warn people to not molest alligators... just let Darwin's law of evolution and survival of the fittest have it's course... ;-)
Stats:
State: Florida
Difficulty rating (of 10): 1
Potential Difficulties: actually wanting to visit the "real" southernmost point.

The Hobe "mountain" resides in Jonathan Dickinson park, north of Jupiter on the east coast of Florida.

A more interesting geographical landmark in Florida is the southern-most point in continental USA. The landmark itself in the self proclaimed Conch republic on Key west is actually quite visibly not the southern-most point due to some nearby land dedicated to a naval base which is off limits.
